Youngkin Model Transgender Policy — Urgent Action Needed

A public hearing will be held in Richmond this coming Monday, December 19, on the Youngkin Administration’s Model Transgender Policy.  Interested citizens who cannot attend in person may testify virtually or submit written comments, but the deadline is tomorrow, Sunday, December 18, at noon.

This is an important matter relating to protection of our kids in school, so please consider participating virtually or in writing if you cannot attend in person.  Links for doing so are below, but first, here is some background:

In September, the Virginia Department of Education published a draft of a new model policy for dealing with transgender issues in Virginia public schools.  A 60-day period for public comment was established.  Thousands of comments were submitted, and a public hearing is now being held, prior to issuance of a final policy.  The proposal would change the policy of the prior administration, and would require changes to the existing policy of the Fairfax County Public Schools, in several respects, most notably as follows:

  • If a student tells a teacher that he or she questions his/her gender identity but is reluctant to share the doubts with his/her parents, current policy requires the school to hide the information from them, while affirming and supporting the student’s potential sex change.  The Youngkin Administration’s Model Transgender Policy would reverse this, requiring parental involvement in the student’s counselling in most cases.
  • The Model Transgender Policy would delete the “sex assigned at birth” lingo to describe a person’s gender, as if this is an arbitrary label applied by hospital staff.
  • The Model Transgender Policy would reverse current policies that give an absolute right to students to use locker rooms and rest rooms of their choice, based on their declared gender.  The new policy would require making reasonable accommodations for transgender students when feasible, but would protect the privacy of the other students, rather than automatically deferring to the desires of the transgender student.

Mark, what do the model policies say about compelling people to say chosen names and pronouns?

The Department of Education’s Model Policy doesn’t directly deal with how other students refer to students who have chosen to change their pronouns. The Policy does say that teachers and other school employees shall use a student’s birth name and pronouns unless the child’s parents have authorized the use of some other name and pronouns. You may be thinking about Fairfax County’s rules, which require all employees and fellow students to use whatever names and pronouns a student selects.

My niece became a nephew because of the pressures from her school teachers and counsellors. She was 12 years old! This is all obscene and must change. These children are pressured and then when older they commit suicide.
The horrible increase in transgenderism is destroying our children. Only increasing because the schools are brainwashing these children and they should ALL be deeply ashamed of themselves.

The government is creating a division between the parents and their child. They should mind their own business and stay out of it. If the child needs help, then they should suggest the whole family get counseling and then zip it. Teachers should be fired for teaching how to masturbate, how to give bj, how to perform anal sex, how to use a butt plug or a dildo or etc. Their job is to teach English, Math, History, Geography, Biology etc.
